Our Shotokan Lineage: Training Under Sensei James Yabe
5 min read · Long Beach, CA
At Kombat Karate, we bring a family-focused, 4th-generation traditional Shotokan experience to Long Beach rooted in the lineage of Sensei Yabe.
Why lineage matters
Traditional karate is passed directly from teacher to student. Lineage shows where your instructor's knowledge comes from — and that it's authentic.
An honor to keep training
We are honored and privileged to be a dojo that continues to train under Sensei Yabe, along with our students. Led by Sensei Ryan and Senpai Nancy, we develop confident, disciplined students who grow stronger on and off the mat.
